Telescopic Wall Lamp Model AO 1 in Perfortated Brass, Itsu 1950s
About the Item
A lovely MCM telescopic perforated brass wall lamp in original condition. Please note that as the arm is telescopic the depth / length of the lamp can be extended to well more than 1 meter. Also the height of the lamp can be adjusted by pulling or pushing the wires. At the moment the height can be adjusted between aprox 40 and 90cm.
Itsu lamps were among the best in Finland in the 1940-1960s. The firm was established in the 1930s although the Itsu name came only in 1939. Itsu became well known in the 1950s for selling high quality lightings at affordable prices. In 1956 they had a 182 page catalogue, full of hundreds of different lamps. They also manufactured lamps for big projects and names like Alvar Aalto.
