Limburg 1 of 6 Vintage Mid-Century 1970s Clear 'Topaz' Glass & Brass Wall Lights
About the Item
One of a set of six wonderful German wall-mounted single socketed light fixtures, sconces or lamps by Glashütte Limburg, circa 1965-1975. The geometric form of the clear, lightly toned / topaz colored / colored mouth blown glass illuminates beautifully and suggests something almost more Art Deco in style although it is firmly a midcentury piece of design. The design of the glass shades is by Swedish Mid-Century interior designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson for AB Markaryd.
Complimented by polished brass flush mounts which hold the dark smoked topaz glass shades in place.
Model number 3059. Requires a single E14 60 Watt lightbulb (E12 for US customers).
Can be purchased singularly, in pairs or as sets.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
