Mercer Kitchen arched sconce in black and brown enameled steel inspired by Jean Prouve (French, 1901-1984).
Provenance: The Mercer Kitchen, Mercer Hotel, New York.
Note: The Mercer Kitchen at the Mercer Hotel was designed by Christian Liaigre in 1997, with an industrial aesthetic softened by luxurious comfort. This sconce were added as part of the 2023 renovation. Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Mercer Kitchen was a landmark restaurant for celebrities, food lovers, and New Yorkers.
