About the Item
Large uplighter space age wall lamp. designed by Giuseppe Ostuni for Oluce Italy in the 1950s. The saucer shaped shade measures 46cm in diameter. It holds 2 E27 bulbs. Suitable for 110volts and 240volts depending on the voltage of the bulb used.
The shade is made from aluminium and has the original paint. It is mounted on a brass arm.
This is one of the first designed made by Ostuni for Oluce.
Oluce, alongside Arredoluce, Stilnovo, Arteluce etc, was one of the leading lighting manufacturers in the mid century period. They produced lamps by Joe Colombo, Tito Agnoli and Renato Forti to name but a few.
