About the Item
The Ice Wall Sconce was designed by Andrew for his own collection in 2017 in collaboration with a Master Glass Blower in Venice on the island of Murano
The mouth blown glass shade is made in one piece of Clear Cristallo Glass with granulated glass (traditionally know as Granita Glass in Venice) embedded on the inside and hundred of tiny glass bubbles blown in to the thick smooth surfaced glass. As such every single piece of glass will be slightly different and unique making every pair made unique to each customer
The design is such that the glass is rounded at the base that goes into a point at the top of the sconce forming a triangular peak - see side views held to the pack plate with four thick brass tabs.
The thick brass back plate is hand cut to each piece of glass as they all vary ever so slightly in the blowing and cooling process so they all fit snugly and perfectly. And they can either house 1 x E14 (for Europe) or E12 (for America) lamp holder or be wired with IP44 rated LED light source for use in Powder Rooms, Bathrooms or on Yachts
The back plate is available in Bronze as shown or many different finishes as listed - if you have any questions at all please do ask
