About the Item

A playful interpretation of the humble tea towel, the Delight wall sconces were created for lighting manufacturer Ingo Maurer by Dutch designers Martijn Wegman and Frans Van Nieuwenborg – who, after studying at Design Academy Eindhoven, developed an unorthodox approach to lighting design. The draped sconces are crafted from heat-resistant fibreglass cloth, illuminated by a bulb underneath. Both have recently been rewired and PAT tested to UK standards. One of the sconces has a tear in its fabric.
