Son of Russian emigrants, Michel Zadounaïsky settled in France in 1916. I In 1920, he discovered the work of wrought iron by joining the Fournet chandelier factory. He also devoted himself to repoussage en ronde bosse, that is to say the confrontation with the metal with only a hammer for a tool, and with the help of fire, techniques in which he became a master. In 1924, he opened his first workshop in Lyon and worked there until 1953, becoming one of the emblematic figures of Lyon's decorative arts. Michel Zadounaïsky regularly exhibited pieces influenced by the Art Deco style in the Lyon Salons. Desiring to abolish the frontier between the liberal arts and the useful arts, he is a craftsman, an artist, and perhaps the only iron sculptor...

Jean Noverdy, master glassmaker who mainly produced chandeliers, table lamps in the Art Nouveau style sometimes with bronze frames, a few vases and Art Deco wall sconces in the 1925s in Dijon. In the 1920s, Jean Noverdy created lamps with shades most often in glass with two layers between which he sprayed colored enamels to give a marmoreal look. Vases and molded glass shades are also part of his production. The same techniques used by Daum Frères, André Delatte and Muller Frères in this period. He also created vases and etched acid tones in the style of the Nancy school. Between 1926 and 1928, he was present at the Salon of the Society of French Artists in Paris. It produced under the corporate name: Etablissements Jean Noverdy. His workshops were located at 17 Place Bossuet, Dijon. He was a pupil of Henri Dubret...
