About the Item
The cocoon series depicts our vulnerable, yet resilient earth. The combination of lighting and translucent polyester creates a diffused light which can develop a dreamy atmosphere.
This edition is inspired by growth and the shapes of roots and veins. The shape of the polyester shade is created intuitively and is formed by hand.
Due to the flat hanging attachment on the back, the object can be placed on the wall as well as on a cabinet or table.
The lightobject is equipped with a G4 LED light with a very long lifespan. In case the light needs replacement anyway, your cocoon comes with a spare set and a manual so you can replace it easily.

Studio Adinda
Adinda de Kousemaeker is a Dutch visual artist. In 2020 she founded Studio Adinda and under this name she creates diverse, exclusive artworks and design pieces in her workshop in Utrecht, The Netherlands. In her art, nature is a constant source for inspiration. Adinda: ‘We are becoming increasingly alienated from nature. We epilate our body, have no idea how our food grows and take for granted that water comes from the tap. I wonder how we can feel more empathy for our earth and for the things that are emotionally distant from us?’
