About the Item

A precious pair of oversized gilt bronze two-arm wall sconces from the Belle Époque period, France, 1860-1870. Finely elaborate with hand chiseled details. Typical motivs of French Belle Époque due to its rich ornamentation with grapes and leaf motifs. Two movable scroll light arms allow variable width and depth settings. The top and the bottom with grapes finial. Two-lights with Abalaster cups shades. These wall sconces had been electrified at a later time. Each sconce takes two Edison E-27 screw base bulbs. LED bulbs can also be used. In perfect condition, beautiful aged patina to bronze, no damages, hand-polished and rewired. Overall height 39" / 100 cm With 19.50" / 50 cm Depth 8" / 19 cm Weight: 11 lbs. The wall lights will be shipped in two separate boxes.
