Pair of 19th Century French Louis XVI Bronze Dore Five-Light Wall Sconces

About the Item

These elegant antique bronze sconces were crafted in France, circa 1860. Each tall fixture features the traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow at the pediment embellished by foliage decor at the center and further decorated with tassel motifs at the base. Each sconce with five light and new wiring, is dressed with trumpet form arms and camel faces; the fixture is further dressed with decorative wax candle sleeves over round bobeches embellished with grape and vine motifs. The classical, ornate sconces are in excellent condition with a rich gilt patinated finish. Place these traditional sconces on either side of a mantel or a large mirror for a stately style. Measures: 20" W x 12" D x 38" H.

They have been rewired at our fourth generation antique store in The French Quarter of New Orleans. Each chandelier and lantern comes with a vintage canopy, three feet of chain, and ample wire, and each sconce comes with all materials needed to mount.
