About the Item

A striking pair of rare mid-century Scandinavian wall sconces by Swedish metal artisan Lars Holmström for Arvika. With round 5in backplate in brass (not pictured). Crafted from forged iron and brass, these sculptural sconces feature a twisted brass ribbon intertwined with black wrought iron elements, creating a dynamic contrast of materials. The elongated candle holders taper into pointed finials. Circa 1950. Pictured are two candle sticks that are not included but the sconce can be rewired to include 2 UL sockets for lightbulbs included in the price.
