About the Item
An elegant and high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu sconces. Each wonderful two arm sconce is centered by a straight central fut with a topie shaped bottom finial and an acorn shaped top crown. The central fut is decorated with berried foliate vines wrapped from top to bottom. The two acanthus leaf decorated arms of each sconce extend outward after crossing with each other below. The reeded patterned arms end with circular bobeches and fine round candle cups above.
