Pair of French Mid 19th Century Louis XVI St. Ormolu Sconces

About the Item

A very high quality pair of French mid 19th century Louis XVI St. ormolu sconces, “Aux Tourtereaux”, possibly by Henry Dasson and attributed to Pierre-François Feuchère. Each two arm sconce is centered by a most decorative circular fluted support with a fine bottom acorn finial and beautiful intertwining decorative designs tied at the center with a ribbon. Each arm also displays a fine fluted design leading to lovely richly chased floral fluted candle cups. Above are charming berried laurel branches leading up to striking intricately chased love birds amidst wonderfully executed clouds in a rich satin and burnished finish. * Shades are shown for display purposes only.
