About the Item

A stunning and most impressive true pair of Italian 18th century Baroque period patinated and giltwood sconces. Each sconce is centered by a beautiful and most decorative backplate with richly carved scrolled foliate designs with gilt accents. The large pierced single arms branch out and display an elegant scrolled movement adorned with richly carved gilt acanthus leaves leading to the top display tiers with mottled borders.
