Pair of Italian Baroque Giltwood Wall Candelabra 19th Century Carved Sconces
About the Item
Pair of gold-leaf gilded friezes suitable for three-light sconces, of Italian origin dating back to mid 19th century.They are elements of a pyramid the socalled liturgical altar candelabra featuring several lights, usually seven, arranged in a pyramidal shape. Both wall candelabra features an elaborate scrolls and foliate design, ending in metal bobeches with waxed candles.
The friezes are in good condition; one metal bobeches was replaced. They could be used as. wall lights, can be hung on the wall as antique three-light sconces, they can be wired for European standard on demand or used as a decorative candelabra surmounted by a fan-shaped lampshade with an indipendent wiring.
They are of Italian origin and date back to the mid 19th century.
