Pair of Italian Turn of the Century Louis XVI St. Ormolu and Crystal Sconces
About the Item
An exceptional and very unique pair of Italian turn of the century Louis XVI st. ormolu and crystal sconces. Each two arm sconce displays a striking pierced backplate with a beautiful and most elegant scrolled shape with a stunning reeded seashell at the top adorned with lovely crystals and with wonderful scrolled patinated branches at the center with gilt metal leaves and superb crystal blooming flowers. The arms display a fine scrolled design and are adorned with beautiful teardrop and kite shaped cut crystal pendants leading to floral bobeches with ball crystal pendants and mottled candle cups.
