Pair of Midcentury Handblown Striated Murano Glass and Brass Sconces by Fabbian
About the Item
This stunning pair of Mid-Century Modernist glass sconces were realized by the fabled 20th century design studio Fabbian in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice, renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features a hand blown conical shade with subtle striations at a bias running throughout the glass. The shade fans outwards from the curvilinear polished brass band on which it sits. With its clean modernist lines and beautiful quality Murano glass, this pair of sconces is as versatile as it is aesthetically pleasing, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic midcentury to contemporary. Each sconce accommodates a single Edison based bulb providing up to 100 watts of light each. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition. The sconces retain their original Fabbian labels.
