About the Item

This regal and ornate Pair of Neoclassical Torch Sconces in Frosted Glass and antique brass originates from France during the latter half of the 20th Century. Featuring frosted glass shades reminiscent of torch flames, supported by a handle like element of polished brass which beautifully angles downwards, adorned with spiral fluted detailing and a multiplicity of tiers and elements allowing for prolonged viewing and appreciation. The backplates are stunning as well, with floral detailing expanding and vertically placed detailing that mirrors the movement of the eyes upwards and downwards along with the shades of the sconces. Highly neoclassical and a timeless form, these sconces will pair beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Neoclassical to Hollywood Regency and Contemporary Interiors.
