Pair of Stilux Perspex and Black Metal Articulating Sconces by Stilux 1960s
About the Item
This pair of black and white articulated sconces was designed and manufactured by Stilux Milano in the early 1960s.
From the mid-1950s Stilux Milano was one of the leading Italian lighting manufactures together with Stilnovo, Arteluce, Arredoluce, O-Luce.
This lamps are fully directable and are made of nickel-plated brass plates and arms; black varnished metal sheet body, opaline Perspex (acrylic) shade.
The lamps remain in original untouched conditions in their original paint, with signs of wear consistent with age and use. Only the back plates (to fix the sconces on the wall) were missing and have been replaced with an exact copy of the original ones (the model is renown), and are not visible when mounted.

- Condition:Replacements made: the back plates (to fix the sconces on the wall) were missing and have been replaced with an exact copy of the original ones (the model is renown). This is listed for accuract only, it's not visible when mounted. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Signs of wear to paint as in pictures. One lamp has small scratches and losses to the paint, the other a small dent. This does not empair the look of the lamps. Period wiring in working conditions but no longer fitting current standards.
