Pair of white Plaster Dove Sconces wall lamps, France 30s Adnet or Serge Roche

About the Item

Rare pair of white plaster dove sconces, France circa 1930 - 1935. . Ay be attributed to Serge Roche and in the manner of Jacques Adnet and Giacometti. . In good condition ; it will be up to you if you wish to clean them but they are sublime as is. . Dimensions : Lenght : 41.5 cm Height : 22 cm Depth : 14 cm . Some slight traces of wear on the back of the appliques and normal wear on the color which in no way alter the beauty of these pieces. . Not attributed, please find some informations about Serge Roche and Jacques Adnet : Serge Roche is a French artist born September 4, 1898 in Paris and died on June 26, 1988 in Nîmes1. Son of a frame dealer from Montmartre, during his childhood he met renowned artists such as Renoir, Picasso and Pissaro. . In 1925, during the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts, Jacques Adnet exhibited ceramics (created with his brother Jean and signed “J. J. Adnet”) on the “La Maîtrise” stand. During the second half of the 1920s, he continued to create typical Art Deco2 furniture and objects in collaboration with his brother Jean. In 1927, Jacques Adnet won the prestigious Blumenthal Scholarship.
