About the Item

Two large vintage ceiling lights by Motoko Ishii that can also be used as wall lights. Periode : 1970. . Very good condition. . Dimensions of a single ceiling lamp: . Length 62.5 cm. Width 62.5 cm. Height/depth with bulbs 22.5 cm. When both ceiling lights are staged side by side: 125 cm. . Two ceiling/wall lights available. The price shown is for two pieces. If you need one you can ask me by message. After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1962, she worked for lighting design offices in Finland and Germany from 1965 to 1967. After her return, Motoko Ishii founded her own agency in 1968. She was responsible for the lighting design for the 1975 Osaka World Expo and the 1975 International Ocean Expo. She won the IES Illumination prizes for the 1990 Horticultural Exhibition and for the Rainbow Bridge in 1994. In 2018, she created the lighting for the Eiffel Tower
