A rare and exceptional piece of Italian mid-century design, this sculptural wall lamp titled “Rottura Spaziale” (“Spatial Break”) was created in the early 1970s by the Japanese artist Akikaze for Poliarte.
The lamp is masterfully crafted from cast aluminium with deeply textured brutalist patterns, into which strikingly large pieces of Murano glass are set. This bold interplay of raw metal and luminous glass gives the piece both a monumental presence and an atmospheric light effect, blurring the boundary between functional lighting and pure sculpture.
