About the Item

Made by Danish lighting manufacturers Lyfa in the mid-1960s this lamp is not only a source of light but also a sculptural decoration on the wall. The lamps are made from solid brushed brass in high quality. Strangely enough the designer of this model is unknown, although the lamps are sometimes attributed to well-known Lyfa-designers Bent Karlby or Kay Kørbing. The sconces also bears a strong resemblance to the style of Svend Aage Holm Sorensen. The "Gothic" sconces were made in variations with both one, two and three spikes/shades. They are rarely seen on the market today and is a collectors item for anyone with an interest in Danish Mid-Century Modern design.

Wear consistent with age and use. Great vintage condition with few signs of wear to the brass seen as tiny scratches - see images. All parts are original and the items have not been restored. All original stickers from LYFA on the mounts and inside the sconces.
