Set of Henri Mathieu Twirling Aluminum Modern Wall Lights, 1970s
About the Item
Stunning pair of shiny shell shaped aluminum futuristic wall sconces by French designer Henri Mathieu in the early 1970s. Brushed softly bent silver colored aluminum lamels compose this set of sculptural space age lights. Mounted on metal plate and twirling around a center stem. Wired so the user has the choice of plug-in or hardwired. Currently one sconce has two fittings, the other has one (easily changed if wanted). Both sconces create a soft ambient light through the strips, and are in great vintage condition.
