Set of Six French 19th Century Neoclassical Style Three-Arm Ormolu Sconces
About the Item
A stunning high quality complete set of six French 19th century Neo-Classical st. three arm ormolu sconces. Each sconce in centered by a striking pierced palmette backplate from where a most impressive scrolled swan's neck extends. The swan's neck branches outward and holds a beautiful richly chased foliate wreath in its beak. Each of the three arms are adorned with large acanthus leaves and intricately detailed floral and foliate designs in striking satin and burnished finishes. All original gilt throughout.
