Vintage 1930 Pair Slip Shade Sconces w/ Beaded Shade Holder Band
About the Item
Priced per pair
Manufactured from the late '20s through the late '30s are these vintage aluminum framed slip shade wall light fixtures, refinished to match an original color scheme called Sunset Golden. There is a very nice cameo of stylized art deco flora in the back plate with just the right amount of matching decoration in the bottom of the glass shade. The nice thing about this particular antique lighting fixture is that you can see the decoration on the back plate when the shade is in place. Many other fixtures have wonderful decorations on the back plate but it is covered by the glass slip shades.
The clear frosted shades are in excellent condition.
These look very much like their inspiration came from holy water fonts found in catholic churches and missions.
Rewired to UL standards including code required ground wire.
