Applique a parete disegnate dai fratelli Guzzini per Guzzini, 1969 Italia. Paralume in perspex bianco e struttura in metallo nichelato, le lampade sono formate da 2 semisfere in perspex sovrapposte alla struttura centrale, le lampade donano una luce calda e accogliente all' ambiente circostante. Harvey Guzzini è spesso erroneamente considerato il nome di un designer di illuminazione attivo tra gli anni '60 e '70; in realtà è il nome di una manifattura di lampade italiana, fondata da sei fratelli Guzzini (Raimondo, Giovanni, Virgilio, Giuseppe, Adolfo e Giannunzio), che prende il nome dal film Harvey del 1950, con James Stewart. Complicando ulteriormente la loro storia, i fratelli rinominano la fabbrica varie volte nel corso del XX secolo, scegliendo nomi come Harvey Creazioni, Harvey Guzzini, Guzzini, iGuzzini, ed Illuminazione Guzzini. Harvey Creazioni viene fondata originariamente nel 1959 a Recanati da Raimondo, il quale si concentra principalmente sulla creazione di oggetti decorativi placcati in rame; quattro anni dopo, nel giugno del 1963, i fratelli si uniscono in affari creando la Harvey Creazioni di Guzzini, ed ampliando la produzione, che da allora includerà lampade e lampadari, applique, e lampade da terra. I fratelli assumono l'architetto e designer Luigi Massoni - presentato ai fratelli dal magnate dell'importazione di plastica Maurizio Adreani - come capo del design, delle pubbliche relazioni, e della pubblicità. Noti design di Harvey Guzzini includono la lampada da tavolo Mushroom di Massoni e Luciano Buttura (1965), e la lampada da terra Arc (1968), e quelle da tavolo Faro (1970) e Toledo (1973). Studio 6G, un team di designer, sviluppa la famosa lampada da tavolo Clan (1968); ed i designer Ermanno Lampa e Sergio Brazzoli creano la serie Nastro (1970), la lampada a sospensione Orione (1970), le lampade da tavolo Sirio (1970) ed Albanella (1973), la lampada da terra Alba (1973), e la serie Alf (1976). Intorno al 1976 Harvey Guzzini interrompe la produzione di oggetti placcati in rame per concentrarsi sulla creazione di illuminazione - la gran parte della quale viene prodotta in polimetilmetacrilato (acrilico). La compagnia collabora con la jugoslava Meblo per la produzione di arredamento. Nel 1967-68 i Guzzini espongono la lampada Media di Gio Ponti’s alla mostra Domus: Formes Italiennes presso la Galeries Lafayette di Parigi con il nome Design House (DH). Poco tempo dopo aprono un negozio a Milano, sotto il nome di Harvey Guzzini-DH, ed entrando pertanto a pieno diritto nel novero delle più prestigiose case di design in Italia. Nel 1974 la compagnia cambia ancora una volta il suo nome in iGuzzini, cui "Illuminazione" verrà aggiunto nel 1981, e continua oggi a produrre e creare a Recanati.

Sergio Mazza is an Italian designer born in 1931 in Milan.In 1955 he began his professional career and from 1961 he worked alongside G. Gramigna in the Smc studio, working in the field of furniture and industrial design. Among the various awards received, we remember the report at the Compasso d'Oro 1960 for the Delta lamp by Artemide and the silver medal for the Italian Apartment at the X Triennale in Milan. From 1967 he began to design also for Olivari, signing the handles Macco, until the model Giuliana, with Gramigna, of 1987. In the field of publishing, always with Gramigna, he directed the magazine "Ottagono" from its foundation until 1988.
