About the Item
Beautiful large paper & burlwood light sculpture. Signed William Leslie 1994. Gorgeous dramatic design with multiple curves that looks great from any angle. Can be placed on a tabletop or hung on a wall. Does not include hanging hardware. This is a one of a kind piece of handmade art. Good vintage condition shows some age on the wood. Takes a standard lightbulb and is wired with a standard plug. This sculpture would look great with any Mid-Century Modern, eclectic or Regency décor.
In 1976, William Leslie's career as a designer began when he apprenticed to Stephen White, an architect who had developed a unique form of ‘light sculpture’. Most of William’s designs are inspired by natural forms. Leslie’s Light sculptures have displayed across the country in print, commercial, film, and more. His work has been used on the stage of the American Music Awards and in the film Star Trek: Generations as well as on HGTV.
