XXL Disc Flush Mount or Wall Light, Germany, 1960s
About the Item
Very large discus lamp from the 1960s to 1970s in very good original condition. There are 3 identical lights. A manufacturer's label is missing - but probably contact/staff due to the frame holders. The lamp is made of aluminum and painted white. It can be attached to both the ceiling and the wall. The lamp is in very good condition and has almost no scratches. The elegantly shaped aluminum shade first slopes slightly inwards before rising again towards the frame and ending with a slight bend at the top edge of the frame.
A mirror head lamp creates a beautiful, indirect light with a beautiful corona around the light body. These discus lights have now become a classic in modern design history and are quite rare in this size. An absolute eye-catcher and a must for a 60s / 70s retro interior.
