About the Item
Great design by Louis Kalff for Philips called Timor 69 Desk Lamp. It is manufactured in 1970 - 1980. This version is in brown and gold, and has a UFO lampshade with a hole in the middle for ahead mirror lamp.
This great piece of design is from an old municipality building from Brussels, Belgium. It was a large office and all the desks had these lights on them. I have 8 (!) more of these lights in stock, all in good vintage condition, if you want pictures of the other Timor lights, just let me know!
Major/Timor/Consul: This lamp has 3 names. The first name in the early seventies was Major. In the late 70’s it became Timor 69. The Timor was produced until the eighties. The difference between the two desk lamps is that the Timor is earthed, the Majoris not.
