About the Item
1940’s English Gamages Holborn Desk Lamp – 10 Inch .
Gamages was a pioneering department store in Holborn London that closed in the 70’s. This is a simple lightweight lamp made in spun aluminium from the 1940’s. In good original condition, the lamp is complete and ready to go. All our lamps have been carefully restored. The lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. INCLUDED: The lamp comes completely wired and ready to use. The lamp is fitted with a standard E27 threaded lamp holder for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs are widely available. We do not currently sell bulbs and recommend LED bulbs 6W maximum. The lamp is currently wired and fitted for UK and EU compliance. Please note the correct plug will be fitted for use in the delivery address country.

Workshop Report:
We take electrical safety very seriously, our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that every lamp leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored and all original electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. Each lamp comes completely wired.
