1950 Original Handle Lamp by Maison Arlus
About the Item
Composed of a black cylindrical base on which rests an off-white cotton lampshade of cylindrical shape hugging the base and held in place by a black wrought-iron rod of square cross-section that runs alongside the lampshade and extends upwards at right angles, forming a handle to facilitate its movement.
Two gilded brass nuts on the outside of the rod hold the shade in place.
