1950s Scandinavian Swan Neck Gooseneck Task Desk Lamp Black & Brass Midcentury
About the Item
A very neat Midcentury Swedish swan neck desk lamp with a black aluminium shade, brass swan neck and unusually shaped, heavy cast steel base with switch. The lamp holds well in a variety of positions, which makes it the perfect light for reading, or to provide spot illumination for tasks. The cone shape shade omits a good amount of light, and the inside is white and clean. Overall this lamp is in very good condition, with just the right amount of patina.
Although the maker is unknown, it was bought in Sweden and has a similar feel to lamps by Erik Wärnå for Ewå Värnamo, Sweden.
Professionally rewired in 3-core antique brown braided cable. Measurements: 52cm H x 20cm D x 12cm W. Shade 12.5cm diameter, 17.5cm long, weight 2.5kg.
