The body of the lamp is made of a single piece of cast copper, which has been left unfinished. Good vintage condition.
Aimo Tukiainen was a Finnish sculptor who was born in 1917. He is best known for his monumental sculptures, including the Equestrian statue of Marshal Mannerheim in Helsinki. Tukiainen was a central figure in the Finnish art world of the 20th century, and his work is characterized by its simplicity, strength, and monumentality.
