American 19th Century Neo-Classical St. Bronze and Marble Lamp Signed Caldwell
About the Item
An impressive and unique American 19th century neo-classical st. ormolu, patinated bronze and white Carrara marble lamp signed Caldwell. The lamp is raised by a fine ormolu base with concave sides below the striking triangular shaped white Carrara marble support with handsome hoof feet and scrolled palmettes flanking richly sculpted bucranium. The patinated bronze central support displays striking richly chased masks at the base and most decorative tapered foliate designs adorned with fine palmettes leading upwards to the superb pierced top finial of two scrolled dragons.
