Antique Italian Marble Figure of a Female Nude by Emilio P. Fiaschi Table Lamp

$6,531.16

About

Hand carved white marble sculpture of a sitting maiden by a water well. By Emilio Fiaschi, Florence circa 1910. This beautiful, impressive and elegant, sculptural table or desk lamp is another great find, because of its quality workmanship, its rare design and its wonderful look and feel. This fine specimen is signed Prof. E. FIASCHI and it is in superb condition. Fiaschi was known for his unique skill of portraying the perfect lines and curves of the female body. This one of a kind work-of-art sculpture and practical table lamp into one was created in the Italian Arts and Crafts era. However, this female semi-nude displays both the elegance of the Art Nouveau and the class of the Italian Classical style. To us, this mix of styles makes this marvelous antique even more desirable and beautiful. One could entirely clean up the white marble, but we like the vintage look which gives this sculpture its ancient and classical look and feel. This stylish antique is a wonderful eye-catcher in the daytime and in the evenings, with the light on, it becomes even more remarkable. Mind you, back in the day this intriguing piece would only have been for the more broad minded and worldly people. This fine work of lighting art will be rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the country she will go to. Our fair price for this unique and timeless lamp too includes perfect packing (in a custom made box) and also worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 days. E. Fiaschi (1858-1941) was one of a group of highly skilled marble sculptors working in Florence in the late 19th century. Concentrating on genre themes and the nude, Fiaschi produced marble editions with great consistency of quality. Fiaschi skilfully emphasises the female form by accentuating the waistline, while the coarse architectural fragment draws attention to the soft polish of the skin. Award winning sculptor Fiaschi studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence between 1883 and 1885. Maximum height x width x depth: 13.3 x 14 x 7.5 inches. We have a passion for the unique, for quality, for stylish yet practical and for craftsmanship of years gone by. Your purchases will be extremely well packaged and we look forward to serving you (again). You can shop all our 1000+ listings by pushing the button that reads 'View All From Seller'.
