Antique Phillipe H. Mourey Lamp Gilded Bronze French Signed Cherubs and Beetles

About the Item

Elegant antique signed Philippe H. Mourey table lamp, bronze with gilt. Features beetle accents along the bottom and cherub accents along the sides. Measures 15.75 inches from the bottom to the top of the bulb base, the center measures 3.2 inches in width and the bottom measures 4.75 in width. This piece may have originally been another decorative object that was later turned into a lamp. There is overall wear, including gilt chipping and patina, as shown in each photo. The lamp is in working condition (shade, finial, and harp are not included). Philippe H. Mourey (Born 1840 Died 1910), was a master French sculptor. He was best known for his association with Japy Freres & Co.
