About the Item
- A rare and early example of a brass daisy joint table lamp by the illustrious John Dugdill, circa 1920.
- This scarce lamp features the trademark 'daisy head’ joints in three places for tightening the arm and head, an aged worn original deep blue-green enamel shade and the 'Dugdill Patent' stamp features across the decorative base.
-The piece has been lightly restored and is showing wonderful aged patina to the brass, a truly immaculate example.
- Rewired with black braided flex and PAT tested.

John Dugdill & Co. Limited Dugdills lamps are considered by many to be the pinnacle of early industrial lighting. Founded circa 1910 John Dugdill a prolific British inventor began manufacturing lamps in Stockport, Manchester and subsequently filing a succession of technical patents in both Britain and the US before 1939. Unmistakably simple, beautiful and elegant, lighting from John Dugdill was exceptional in design, form and function.
