About the Item

Lamp crafted from Art Deco era Limoges porcelain, featuring a depiction of an oriental couple in a style emblematic of the period's refined forms. The man, standing with his head inclined, is positioned behind the partially undressed woman who gracefully holds a fan. Hand-painted and the use of red and black hues against a white backdrop imbues the piece with a striking presence and distinctive personality. Additionally, there is a well incorporated into the hood of the clock for perfume/oil infusion. The fragrance is poured in the well of the hood. When the bulb is lit, it generates heat, transforming the liquid into vapors. These vapors then disperse, releasing the fragrance. Initially, Limoges porcelain was made in the style of Meissen porcelain, with elaborate hand-painted designs and gold leaf decoration. However, by the early 19th century, Limoges porcelain had developed its own unique style, characterized by simple, elegant designs and the use of subtle colors and patterns. It is currently wired to 220V as per European standards and could easily be switched to 110v as per American standards, upon request and free of charge. Light bulb is not included.
