About the Item

Extraordinary Art Deco piano lamp/table lamp, probably from the 1930s with an ornate shade opening and curved base. The lamp is made of brass and has a heavy base. The lampshade can be tilted and locked using a wing screw - left-hand thread! The lamp is switched on and off using a rotary switch on the base. The lamp is very solidly made and is in good, functional condition with slight signs of aging on the brass. The wiring has probably been replaced - now 3-wire with protective conductor. The light still has a functioning small old bulb, but can also be operated with an LED flashlight - included.
