This wonderful lamp is a fantastic example of “machine age” design.It is extremely well built, and heavy and solid. Although the designer is not known, it appears to be American in origin. The cast bronze shade houses two standard bulbs, an auxiliary plug, and power switch. The yolk of the lamp is machined from one solid piece of bronze, adding to the masculine solidity of the form. All surfaces display a pleasing dark patina, and the lamp displays beautifully.
