About the Item
Meticulously handcrafted by Amitābha Studio in Amsterdam, Toni & Tini are an exquisite pair of one-of-a-kind table lamps made from antique, rare vases from the renowned Arnhemsche Fayencefabriek. These vases, dating from 1910 to 1917 and featuring the "Lindus" decor, are a stunning blend of Art Nouveau and early Art Deco styles. We've paired the vase bases with new custom contemporary lampshades in soft white and sage cords. The lamps were created without harming the original vases in any way.
The Lindus decor, produced during a period marked by a surge in artistic creativity at the Arnhemsche Fayencefabriek, exhibits characteristics of both Art Nouveau and early Art Deco. The floral patterns reflect the naturalistic motifs of Art Nouveau, while the geometric and streamlined designs move into the emerging Art Deco style. This blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern design elements makes Toni & Tini truly unique.
The Arnhemsche Fayencefabriek, active during this transitional period, skillfully combined organic and nature-inspired designs with structured forms and motifs, creating pieces that are both timeless and captivating. These lamps stand as a testament to this remarkable artistic evolution.
Please note, the lamp is fully wired for use in the U.S. Additionally, the listed height includes the lampshade. We also ensure compatibility for global use by offering a free plug customization service to match the electrical standards of your specific country. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
