About the Item

An Art Nouveau table lamp by Julien Caussé, featuring the sculpture Lever de l'Aurore (The Awakening of Dawn), with two floral glass shades radiating from elegant arms. Crafted in patinated spelter, this sculptural table lamp depicts a female figure emerging from nature, holding a harp and lifting a flowing veil as light begins to rise — an allegory for morning and rebirth. The lamp includes two frosted white tulip-shaped glass shades, original in style, delicately mounted to echo blooming flowers. The base bears a plaque inscribed "Lever de l'aurore par J. Causse" and is signed and dated 1889. Julien Caussé (1869–1914), son of sculptor Auguste Caussé and student of Alexandre Falguière, was a decorated artist who exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris. Height: 24 in (61 cm) Diameter from arm to arm: 19,29 in (49 cm) Perfect to complement a neutral décor scheme, a vibrant maximalist interior, or a classic Art Nouveau setting. Take into account that the colors on the items may vary depending on the type of lighting and the type of screen from which you see the images.
