Astonishing Pair of Welded Steel Panthers as Custom Lamps
About the Item
A mind-boggling pair of handmade panther sculptures as custom lamps, circa 1970. The figures are fashioned from individual common stock steel washers, painstakingly welded to form. Fabulous dull gold finish aged to absolute perfection. Exquisite craftsmanship. A remarkable testament to imagination, talent - and patience! Incredible pieces that will establish the tone for the entire house. Breathtaking jewelry! Excellent restored condition. Wired using brown silk cord; new oil-rubbed bronze three-way sockets with bronze turn switch. Complete with new silk shades (color: Natural Silk; size: 11 x 18, 16 x 22, 11 high) and simple custom graphite ball finials. Width and depth noted are per the base, the height noted is to the top of the finial. The price listed is for the pair.
