Austrian Ormolu Mounted Amethyst Glass Campana Urn Lamp, Late 19th C
About the Item
An antique late 19th century cut amethyst glass lidded campana urn vase from Austria, set atop a marble block and converted into a dual socket table lamp with pull cord operation. The stunning vase features diamond facets, a Bacchus themed motif including hand-chased grape leaf and mask ormolu bronze mounts with handles, a gadrooned rim, and a pedestal base with laurel wreath detail and scalloped corners. The marble cube is primarily off-white in color with splashes of purple and gray and hints of green. Included is an egg shell bell shaped silk blend lamp shade with vertical piping, a scalloped bottom edge and braid trim.
