The Babel table lamp, designed by Àngel Jové in 1971 and produced by Santa & Cole, is a sculptural piece that merges art and functionality. Inspired by the biblical story of the Tower of Babel, its design evokes an ascending structure with concentric rings that add character and symbolism.
Crafted from alabaster, a naturally translucent stone, the lamp features a solid base and a hollow shade, allowing light to diffuse softly and create a warm, intimate atmosphere. Each unit is unique due to the natural variations of the material and the handcrafted carving process.
