About the Item
A sleek Scandinavian table lamp, model B-015, designed by Bernt Nordstedt and produced by the Swedish manufacturer Bergbom & Co in the 1960s. Crafted from white glass with teak details and featuring a lampholder with an integrated light switch. Complete with its original lampshade, covered in orange textile and topped with an acrylic diffuser.
The company Bergbom & Co was established in 1940 by the Swedish chocolate magnate Efraim Ljung, initially focusing on the production of ice cream machines. However, their manufacturing scope quickly expanded to include various lighting fixtures. Efraim Ljung wias already deeply engaged in the Swedish design scene, as he was the founder of the renowned furniture manufacturer DUX and a prominent figure in the sales organization Bra Bohag. As a result, Bergboms lamps began making appearances in catalogs and magazines, often featured alongside iconic furniture pieces designed by Sweden's top designers. Today, Bergboms is perhaps best recognized for their version of the Greta Magnusson Grossman Grasshopper floor lamp.
