About the Item

Bjørn Wiinblad ‘Tre Gratier’ Table Lamp for Nymølle, Denmark, Late 1960s–Early 1970s Charming and highly decorative table lamp designed by Danish artist Bjørn Wiinblad for Nymølle Keramiske Fabrik in the late 1960s or early 1970s. Originally conceived as a vase, this piece has been adapted to a lamp with an E27 socket. Executed in white faience with black illustrations, the lamp features the classical motif of The Three Graces set in an enchanting botanical scene filled with trees, birds, flowers, and swirling leaves — rendered in Wiinblad’s unmistakable whimsical and ornate linework. Stamped to the underside with Wiinblad’s signature, the title 'Tre Gratier' ('Three Graces'), Nymølle Denmark, and the model number 3159-1317. Lamp shade not included. Dimensions Height with shown shade: 20.5 in (52 cm) Height incl. socket: 14.6 in (37 cm) Diameter: 3.5 in (9 cm) About Bjørn Wiinblad (1918–2006) Bjørn Wiinblad was a Danish artist and designer renowned for his imaginative and theatrical style.
