About the Item

Blue table lamp, no. 5549 by Michael Andersen & Son in the 1960s, Danish blue ceramic lamp stand with vintage beige fabric shade included, all in excellent vintage condition. A beautiful table light with an ancient Greek inspired expression, the tall column-like body with a round platform towards the bottom and a curvy neck with a wide collar towards the top. It is completely covered with an amazing glossy blue nuanced glaze, spanning from dark-blue over Greek-blue to brown. It almost looks like the glaze is just poured on the lamp stand, leaving a subtle wavy pattern down the lamp stand. To match the beautiful blue glazing, we have found a vintage beige fabric shade with a patterned rim - it is not original to the lamp-stand but contemporary and complements the blue nuances and ancient Greek expression, while adding a stylish touch. A curvy table lamp with beautiful vibrant colors, and it would fit in anywhere in the modern home - on a lamp table in a corner of a sitting area or as cozy bedside lamp. Super stylish table lamp, and it is in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of usage and age. The beige shade, shown in the photos, is included, and it is in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of usage and age. Please see the photos! All original, but rewired with 1,5 m (4' 11.1") white plastic cord and fitted Euro-style two-pin plug - which can be fitted with a plug adapter, or is easily changed to your specific plug.
