About the Item
Gorgeous example of a Bauhaus desk lamp with the design attributed to Marcel Breuer. We have made the attribution to Breuer has we also have listed a larger version ( different models ) with practically all the same details as this one which is marked: Marcel Breuer exposition Paris 1925. Please note that this most likely a later edition, ca 1980s ( as is the Paris 1925 edition ). This lamp has been rewired and is fitted for a general E27 lightbulb. The brass has patinated over the years and shows its age. The height of the shade can be easily adjusted as can be seen in the pics. The lamp is stamped: Bauhaus Weimar Staatuches and the felt underneath the base is also marked: Bauhaus Weimar.
